A Wonderful Saturday on a Motorboat
This time, the cruise wasn’t meant to be a long one, yet we ended up spending half the day aboard the Saxdor 320GTC. The Tri-City was basking in full summer heat that Saturday, and we couldn’t have picked a better moment to head out. Initially, the plan was to sail to Gdynia, but the tempting waves on the Bay of Gdańsk quickly changed our minds. We pushed the twin Mercury 225 HP V6 engines to the limit, enjoying every second of the speed and excitement. After a while, we slowed down to watch the regatta in the distance before heading back to the Sopot marina. The whole experience felt like a summer holiday — relaxed, carefree, and full of joy.

The girls brought a few games along, including Dobble and a deck of cards, which sparked some playful competition. A couple of rounds of Dobble, then a game of Macau. Interestingly, the younger players seemed to outmatch the older ones every time. We’re still wondering how they do it with such ease.

Next came a bit of onboard exercise. Here’s something you might not know: the Saxdor 320GTC has folding sides at the stern that open up to form a generous terrace. It turned out to be the perfect space for some light yoga. Yes, yoga on a motorboat. Believe it or not, there’s enough room for everything on this vessel.

Later in the afternoon, we gathered for a relaxed conversation over glasses of chilled New Zealand wine. That was followed by a delicious dinner from MERIDIAN, our favorite seaside restaurant at the end of the Sopot pier. They brought us an incredible spread of fresh salads, juicy ribs, rich fish soups, and of course, the classic fish and chips.

We ended the cruise with some sunbathing, more stories, and plenty of laughter as the captain entertained us with tales from his sailing days. The funniest ones were from his time in the Optimist class. Like the time five tiny boats towed their coach back to shore after the throttle on his pontoon broke. Or when someone mistook a floating buoy for the coach’s head after he accidentally fell overboard. The laughter was nonstop.
We warmly invite you to spend the last days of summer with CruiseMyBay. Enjoy peaceful, happy moments on the water aboard our comfortable motorboat. Combine the cruise with a scenic lunch at MERIDIAN, either in the marina or at the end of the pier in Sopot, and you’ve got the perfect formula for an unforgettable day.
