Autumn Is Beautiful on a Motorboat Too!
This past summer was nothing short of incredible. We soaked up the sun on countless warm and memorable cruises, setting off to Gdańsk, Hel, Kuźnica, and Jastarnia. We also ventured out to Sobieszewo, and more than once, made our way to Gdynia. It was a vibrant, high-Energy season for CruiseMyBay.
Even as the calendar turned to autumn, the beautiful weather lingered. Though the temperatures dipped and we reached for jackets and hats, the crisp air and golden sunlight made exploring the Tri-City and the Hel Peninsula from the water just as enjoyable.

One of our favorite ways to spend an autumn weekend is with a relaxing cruise to Hel with friends aboard our Saxdor motorboat, followed by a delicious lunch at a local restaurant like Kutter. Their signature dishes, from Helskie Frykasy to Baltic-style fish Gołąbki, never disappoint. Combined with the warm atmosphere of Hel and just a 35-minute sail from the Tri-City, it’s an outing you won’t forget.
Another must-try experience is a cruise to Gdańsk. Departing from Sopot, the adventure begins with a high-speed ride across the Bay aboard the Saxdor 320GTC. As we approach the entrance to the Port of Gdańsk, the pace slows, giving way to stunning views. Towering ships and colossal cranes create an awe-inspiring, almost cinematic backdrop that reflects the port’s rich industrial character.

The harbor itself has a distinctive charm. Westerplatte comes into view on the left, and on the right stands the lighthouse of Nowy Port. Soon after, we pass the rare oval-shaped Wisłoujście Fortress, beautifully preserved through the years. Then, we draw near to the true giants of the shipyard.

One of the most impressive is Maja, among the largest floating cranes in Europe. At 44 years old, she still commands attention. Passing within meters of her is truly unforgettable. Some may know that in June 2024, Maja was the only crane capable of lifting another massiv crane that had fallen into the port channel during a storm. With the strength to hoist up to 300 tons, she remains a symbol of engineering excellence.

From there, the cruise takes us along the Motława River into the heart of Gdańsk’s Old Town. It’s one of the most scenic ways to explore the city. Our longer routes, departing from Gdynia or Sopot, take you through the Bay, past the harbor, and right into the Szafarnia Marina in the historic center.
Along the way, you’ll see the famous pedestrian drawbridge, the Sołdek museum ship, and the iconic wooden port crane known as Żuraw, built between 1442 and 1444. It’s incredible to think such a structure was created so long ago and still stands today.

Gather a group of seven or eight friends and come aboard. The cost is shared, making it one of the best-value experiences available. Most importantly, safety is always our top priority. CruiseMyBay proudly offers cruises across the Gulf of Gdańsk and the Motława River aboard the modern and comfortable Saxdor 320GTC. This elegant 11-meter vessel features a spacious cabin with seating for six around a central table, an additional table and seating at the stern, and large lounge areas at the bow perfect for relaxing in style.
